A sales kit is your physical and digital go-to toolbox for promoting the yearbook. It’s packed with everything you need to get students, parents, and staff excited to buy. The better your kit, the easier it is to spread the word and hit your sales goals. Here’s how to build one that gets results:

START WITH THE BASICS

Your sales kit should include:

  • Posters: eye-catching designs to hang around the school. There's a bunch in your Yearbook Kit, but if you need more just talk to your Print Consultant.
  • Flyers: handouts for students and parents.
  • Order forms: paper, digital, or both!
  • Pricing info: clear and simple, with any early bird or bundle deals.

ADD PARENT-FOCUSED TOOLS

Parents are key buyers, so make sure your kit includes:

  • Direct-to-Parent emails: these are created by Friesens and go straight to inboxes with ordering information.
  • Take-home flyers: great for handouts at parent teacher nights or school events.
  • Social media graphics: easy-to-share visuals for social media or newsletters.

PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS

Make it easy to promote the yearbook with:

  • Lawn signs: place them at school entrances or drop-off zones,
  • Banners: hang them in high traffic areas like hallways or cafeterias.
  • Digital slides: use for school TVs or morning announcements.

PREP YOUR STREET TEAM

Give your yearbook crew or street team what they need:

  • Talking points like price, deadline, and how to order.
  • Sample posts for social media.
  • QR codes linking to the order page. You can even have them printed on a sticker or card and the team can hand them out (remember to factor in the cost of printing them in your budget!).
  • Street Team buttons to wear around the school.

INCLUDE A CHECKLIST

Include an event checklist or tracker in your kit:

  • What's been posted or handed out?
  • Which tools are getting the most attention?
  • What needs a refresh or update?
  • Running low? What to reorder/reprint.
